Anna Fialkoff of Wild Seed Project will lead a presentation titled “Diversify Your Lawn” in an online webinar hosted by Merryspring Nature Center on Tuesday, May 24 at 12:00 pm.
Who says lawns need to be monocultures or made only of grasses? In this program, Anna Fialkoff will speak about how to transform a backyard lawn into a rich tapestry of native plants. Anna will speak about how to diversify the home lawn, transition lawns to meadows, and convert lawns to layers of native plants to create rich, wildlife-friendly tapestries.
Fialkoff serves as Ecological Programs Manager at Wild Seed Project. She furthers the organization’s educational mission to inspire people to return native plants to the Maine landscape, and works with partners to demonstrate rewilding in action. She holds an MS in Ecological Design from the Conway School and a BA in Human Ecology from the College of the Atlantic. Anna brings with her a deep knowledge of native plant ecology, horticulture, conservation, and ecological landscape design.
