Classes at River Arts include painting, drawing, clay, mixed media, and more. The non-profit arts organization aims to provide opportunities, inspire and encourage those with a love of art. Classes are led by high quality instructors and are for artists of all levels.
Art classes at Ticonic Gallery + Studios (formerly Common Street Arts) are for all levels and all ages. Choose from life drawing, folded paper and collage, clay, and more. Scholarships are available for teens as part of a state grant. Ticonic Gallery + Studios also hosts after school workshops and classes at schools throughout the city.
The Maine College of Art offers art classes for adults, youth, and teens as part of their Continuing Studies division. Classes are held on a weekly, weekend or intensive basis and afford professional quality studies to all enrollees. International artist retreats are available from time to time for adults only.

Want to create an art class with a group of like-minded people? Valerie is happy to make it work for you. She also hosts fun paint and sip nights in her studio for those who aren’t quite sure they want a skilled art class.

Learn the fine art of working with pastels through classes sponsored by the Pastel Society of Maine. Held in Bath, the classes are taught by nationally recognized pastel artists. It is recommended that students sign up for these classes well ahead of time as they tend to fill up fast.
