Frye Island Golf Club
1 Sunset Road

The eighteen hole course design was done by Geoffrey Cornish, with nine holes built in 1972. The land for the second nine holes is being held for future construction. The history of the course reveals the great dedication of many Islanders.

The Club House for the golf course, shown on the right, is where you check in to play golf. There is a Pro Shop with a fine line of golf supplies and an area to grab a cold drink.

While the course has only nine greens, there are two sets of tees (Gold and Silver) that allow an individual to play eighteen holes with a different look on each nine. There is also a set of Red tees for the ladies. Normal USGA rules are used, augmented by a few special course rules. The Golf Club operation is assisted by a Committee that provides needed leadership. You can email the Golf Committee if you have any comments, suggestions, advice, and wish lists.

A copy of the Yardage Guide for the Frye Island Golf Course is available online. A copy of the Golf Operations Handbook is available online.

There are many chances for a golf shot to get into trouble. The sixth hole, for example, is the easiest hole on the course, but there are three ponds, a stream and some woods that can cause trouble. It is possible to take an electronic tour of the Frye Island golf course.

The course is open to the public.
