It's a real desert, and bigger than I'd expected. The folks who run the tours are very friendly, and kids will have fun digging for gems. It's a pretty cool way to learn some geology and history all in one trip.

This is a perfect campsite! It's in a beautiful pine Forrest. Very private and quiet. I highly recommend this place!

Stopped in for a quick visit. Interesting story about the tree growth in deep sand. Definitely take the tour! I needed more time.

Interesting place. We spent about an hour on a tram tour learning how the desert developed and some of the land history. The staff is very friendly and kids can dig thru the sand for gemstones.

Very interesting. Had been before, but took our son and his family. The grandson got to find gems and do some mining. He lived it.
