A Maine landmark, the Miss Portland Diner is housed in an original 1949 Worcester Lunch Car. Both the interior and exterior take customers back in time. Something that truly makes them appreciate the here and now, however, are their generous stacks of pancakes. Drenched in maple syrup and butter and infused with real Maine blueberries when available, it’s a taste of the Pine Tree State at its very best.
Customers can order one, two or three pancakes at the Purple Cow House of Pancakes, and they may choose from plain, apple blueberry cranberry, raspberry chocolate chip, cranberry, and more. Even though the Maine Diner only serves blueberry or plain pancakes, you won’t find any that are more satisfying along the southern Maine coast. Most locals have become regulars and tourists make it a point to stop in for pancakes every summer. You’ll be hard-pressed to beat the price, too.
Choose from regular or gluten-free pancakes at the Home Kitchen Café. Add some chocolate chips or blueberries to the batter for a nominal fee. You can enjoy your pancakes for breakfast or for lunch, but you will definitely enjoy them. Everything at the Home Kitchen Café is made from scratch, using only the best ingredients available.
