Mingo's Products has a long, rich, and proud history in the evergreen business. We have been serving our valued customers for more than fifty years, which makes us one of the oldest balsam wreath producers in operation today.
Mingo's was founded in 1958 by Alden Mingo. In the beginning, Alden worked part-time making wreaths to help supplement the family income while working full time as a foreman at the local pulp and paper mill. As the Christmas products business began to grow, it was necessary for Alden to request more time off to handle the growing demands of his own little business.
By 1972, demand had grown so steadily for his products that Alden made the decision to leave his position at the local mill and focus on his newly formed business. His entrepreneurial spirit and love for the Christmas season helped him make this difficult decision.
With the support of his wife, Donna, and their four children, the business has grown over the years to become a premier supplier of the very best quality products in the wholesale, retail, and mail order markets. All four of Alden's children play an active role in the operation of the family business today. Though Mingo's has expanded their product line to include cranberries, blueberries, strawberries, and maple, they continue to employ some of the same artisans they've employed since their inception. Tradition and legacy are central to Mingo's business, and they aim always to provide their customers with the finest products and impeccable service. And they deliver: Mingo's has never been late with a single order in any Christmas season for the past half century! They've earned the trust of their customers, some of whom have been buying from Mingo's since 1958.
