1-3pm: Ice carving in Wiscasset Village
Watch the ice carvers at work - socially distanced, of course - while they use their chain saws to create a chilly work of art. The icy display continues through the weekend.
4:30pm.: Christmas tree lighting and carols on the Common, Wiscasset Common
A long Wiscasset tradition is the annual tree lighting on the Common accompanied by the angelic voices of schoolchildren. In 2020, we invite the community to take part in a live carol sing at the time of the tree lighting. The Wiscasset Congregational Church pipes live organ music out to the Common where an impromptu choir (you and me) will sing the familiar carols, led by a member of the Sheepscot Valley Chorus. Masks and distancing required.
