Make shopping for your holiday gifts safe and enjoyable in 2020 by visiting the unique shops in beautiful Wiscasset Village! Shop owners are on site and can recommend gift selections to make holiday shopping stress-free.

The charming historic Village will be festooned for the season, and the pop-up Holiday Gift Shop offers one-of-a-kind artisan-made selections.

10am - 6pm: Gift Shopping in Wiscasset Village
The Village’s remarkable collection of shops and galleries are open and ready to assist you as you search for just-right gifts for those you love! Look for special sales and advice from knowledgeable owners.

10am - 4pm: Holiday Gift shop
The Holiday Gift Shop is a curated collection of craft and artisan creations, holiday greens, and gifts for guys and gardeners! The place to look for specialty items, one-of-a-kind creations, and the unexpected treasure for friends and family! Plastic accepted. 75 Main St.

Wreaths around the holidays on Village sidewalks.
Wiscasset Area Chamber of Commerce members will be showing off their talents as they decorate wreaths in the spirit of the season. Their challenge: over-the-top! And look for wreaths to be inspired by business themes. Shoppers select the People’s Choice. Wreaths will be donated to Toys for Tots after Marketfest.

9:30-11am: Brunch at Sarah’s Cafe
Sit down, order, and be served a delicious brunch featuring these menu items: spinach, mushroom, and gruyere quiche; creamy cheesy breakfast potatoes, buttermilk pancakes, bacon or sausage, cinnamon buns, and sparkling punch or effervescent mimosas. Per state mandate, brunch guests are required to wear a mask when not eating.

10-6pm: Raffles
Wiscasset in a Basket features a collection of items including gift certificates for local dining and overnights, and merchandise from local shops. Raffle tickets sold only in the Holiday Gift Shop, 75 Main St.

Dining in Wiscasset gift certificates. Free raffle at participating shops.

1-3pm: Ice carving in Wiscasset Village
Watch the ice carvers at work - socially distanced, of course - while they use their chain saws to create a chilly work of art. The icy display continues through the weekend.

4:30pm.: Christmas tree lighting and carols on the Common, Wiscasset Common
A long Wiscasset tradition is the annual tree lighting on the Common accompanied by the angelic voices of schoolchildren. In 2020, we invite the community to take part in a live carol sing at the time of the tree lighting. The Wiscasset Congregational Church pipes live organ music out to the Common where an impromptu choir (you and me) will sing the familiar carols, led by a member of the Sheepscot Valley Chorus. Masks and distancing required.
